i feel that at this point i need to now explain how my ideas and thoughts have evolved. my starting point was modern geishas and i have kept this in my head whilst allowing this idea to develop. modern geisha has now become bright eye make up inseat of the traditional red eyes, colourful elegant dresses instead of the oriental kumonos, unusual hair styles decorated with strange objects. i am also awear that i can not back a backdrop of a beautiful japanese garden with a pond and a bridge but i can find the english versions of these places such as a beautiful english garden and a man made lake or pond. its not as obvious that my images were inspired by geishas but all the right elements are still there.
