i dont like these images as much as i did when i began to edit them, i wanted to show as much of the old factory roof as possible but its not one of the best images of the model.

here i tired to bring out the blue in the dress. i like the paleness of her skin.
here i like the greens in the background and how they sraw you in almost as much as the model herself.

i wanted to try somthing different for this one. it isnt very fitting but i like the look, i may put a set together for this one.

shooting with sarah

this is one of my favourite shots of the shoot, there is something about the look on the models face that i really like. i also like the tattoo that she has. i was not expecting the model to have such a large tattoo, it was too large to cover up but i actually really like it, i think it really adds to the modern look i want for the geisha's and it makes the model stand out to me. it adds a point of interest and i will be using this model again in the future.

i like the colours of this image, i just wanted to bring out the different colours that were there and allow the viewer to see the beauty within the image.

i took this one a little further with the editing, it could be to harsh. i think i will be looking for a second opinion here.

i like the tones here. it dose not fit in with the geisha look really as it lacks the vibrant colour so i don't think i can use it. i do really love it though.

i love the colour in this one, i think i may like green a little too much. i think I'm going to put this one into a set and see how it looks.

although i like the images i have done so far from these shoot it dosnt hurt to try and make somthing better.

i like how the feathers stand out here, this also reminds me of an old hollywood actress photograph. i used natural light in this shoot and this was taken at the time that sun began to go down so i got some really great sun.
i just plain love the colouring here. the greens and pinks look great together standing out with the desaturated skin and face.

i prehaps got a little carried away here. i still like this image though, the model reminds me of a victorian pot doll. i will have to try and edit a few more images in this same way and they i will know how they look together as a set.

with this image i have tried to make it fit in the my other images that have shown to be favourites, i think that maby this could be one of my final images.

here are a few more ideas for my final edits, they are still rough but onse i have all my images i can then edit them all in the same way.

i like the contract here but prehaps its a little to high. i like the black and white here but the earthy colours in the back ground are so lovely it would be a shame to cut them out.

this is more of what im after but it is too bright. i will post a better edited version of this but i think that its important to show my work in progress.

here i chose what i feel is a nicer picture and did the editing differently. although the picture is nicer and i like the edit, it feels a little gothic and grungy and will most likely not be using this one.
i feel that at this point i need to now explain how my ideas and thoughts have evolved. my starting point was modern geishas and i have kept this in my head whilst allowing this idea to develop. modern geisha has now become bright eye make up inseat of the traditional red eyes, colourful elegant dresses instead of the oriental kumonos, unusual hair styles decorated with strange objects. i am also awear that i can not back a backdrop of a beautiful japanese garden with a pond and a bridge but i can find the english versions of these places such as a beautiful english garden and a man made lake or pond. its not as obvious that my images were inspired by geishas but all the right elements are still there.

shooting with mel extended

i selected one of my favourite shots of the day and have spent time editing them in different ways to see if i can find a theme to run through my set. i failed at this because i like them all and now need to spend more time with them, take more shots and also find a second opinion.

i like the colours on this image, its striking to me and stand out the most.
i like the tone of this imageand how warm it looks. i also like the small amount of blue creaping in at the corners.

this one looks a little too harsh to me but i would like to have a second opionion on it. i dont like the tone of the models skin.

this is another case of me like loving pale looking pictures again. i think that it is very attractive but im not sure how this will benifit me in a future career.

i have the ame thoughs about this, i like the look of it but i dont know what it is useful for with it looking a little bit western. i probably will not use this one but i can atleast say that i tried it.

shooting with mel

here are a few of my shoot with mel. for this shoot my model and myself dove to out shooting location. we took a few different dresses to shoot in and a few different things to feature in her hair. i tried to get as many different looking shots as i could, we walked to different locations and i tried to get each outfit in two different locations.
i have tried some different editing styles on these just to see how they look and if anything stands out to me. none of this is definet yet, i will keep on editing and trying different things.

i really like how the colours stand out in this image and how pretty her skin looks. this fits in with one of my ideas of having the images very pale with bright colours standing out. i would also like to try a different style of editing with this image bacause i like the soft expression on the models face here.
i did photographed this keeping in mind an image i have seen by Akif Hakan Celebi were a model is layed on the a stone tile floor. i was not so keen on this image until i edited it. i like the stone floor against the blue of the dress, i also like how her hair is stretched outwards,

for me the background makes this image. i actualy like the clash of the brown, blue and pink. this is another that i would like the continue playing with.
